The lake is shaped like an upside-down Y: Como and Cernobbio on the southwest branch, Lecco on the southeast, Bellagio at the point. Milan lies only 45 km (28 miles) to the south, close enough for a city day; Portofino, on the Ligurian coast, makes a lovely stop on the way home.

Any questions before you head to Lake Como?
How far is the lake by road?
From Nice, count on about four and a half hours; a little less from Monaco, longer from Cannes or Saint-Tropez. The fare, though, does not change with the time on the road.
Will you collect us at the lake for the trip back?
Yes, wherever you are staying: Como, Cernobbio, Tremezzo, Bellagio or another village on the lake. Your chauffeur pulls up outside your hotel on your departure day, then heads back with you to the French Riviera, or straight to Nice Airport.
Can we cross from one shore to the other without driving around the lake?
Yes. At the center of the lake, ferries connect Bellagio, Menaggio and Varenna, and they take vehicles too. Your chauffeur picks the ferry or the shore road according to the hour and where you are headed.
Can a taxi take us all the way to Lake Como?
A taxi can certainly make the trip. With us, the price is fixed at the time of booking, tolls included, and your chauffeur, in a suit and tie, arrives on time in a brand-new, latest-generation Mercedes-Benz. The same chauffeur can also bring you back.
