The Riviera Elite Standard

Aix, the city Cézanne called home

From Nice, Aix-en-Provence is a drive of two and a quarter hours or so, on the A8 the whole way: the highway passes the Esterel hills, crosses the Var, and shortly before you arrive, Mont Sainte-Victoire rises on your right. Monaco, Saint-Tropez, anywhere on the coast in between or Nice Airport: wherever you start, your private driver drops you on the Cours Mirabeau, at your hotel in town or at the estate where you are staying. For the return, or for a trip that begins in Aix or at the TGV station, we come and collect you there.

  1. Land in Nice, dine in Aix

Arriving at Nice Airport? With your flight number, your chauffeur can track the landing; after baggage claim, the road to Provence begins, and by evening you are having dinner on the Cours Mirabeau.

  2. Seven seats for Provence

A wedding in Provence, a whole family, friends sharing a country house: the V-Class has seven seats, enough for the entire group. For a couple too, it beats a sedan once the suitcases pile up, since the latter has room for just one big case and a cabin bag.

  3. From the TGV to the Riviera

On the high-speed line, about 15 km (9 miles) southwest of Aix, the Aix-en-Provence TGV station is a natural entry point to Provence. Your chauffeur is on the platform when the train pulls in, then heads for the French Riviera.

  4. In the heart of the old town

Many streets in the old town are for pedestrians only: the vehicle stops where traffic is allowed, and your chauffeur walks you to your hotel, luggage included.

THE AIX-EN-PROVENCE CALENDAR

The best seasons around Aix

Lavender in early summer, opera in July, the grape harvest in September and Cézanne all year: every season has its reason to come.

  1. June and July

    The lavender fields

On the Valensole plateau, in Haute-Provence, the lavender blooms in June and July. Allow a day from Aix to enjoy it: your chauffeur picks the roads and stops wherever you like.

  2. July

    The opera festival

Founded in 1948, the Aix-en-Provence Festival presents operas and concerts every summer. After the performance, even late at night, a chauffeur is waiting to drive you back.

  3. September

    The Aix wine harvest

The Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence vineyards, an appellation of rosé, white and red wines, surround the city. During the harvest, tastings follow one another; the drive back is taken care of.

  4. Year-round

    Cézanne and Mont Sainte-Victoire

Born in Aix in 1839, Paul Cézanne painted his last works in his studio on the Lauves hill, now open to the public, not far from the Sainte-Victoire he painted so many times.

GOOD TO KNOW

Any questions about Aix and Provence?

How long is the road from Nice to Aix?

Roughly two and a quarter hours from Nice; from Monaco, add twenty minutes or so, while Cannes and Saint-Tropez are closer. Traffic never changes the fare.

Do you handle arrivals at the Aix TGV station?

Yes. Your chauffeur follows your train’s schedule and is ready when you arrive on the platform, before driving to the French Riviera.

Can we spend a day between Mont Sainte-Victoire and the lavender?

Yes: a day of hourly service is enough to drive the roads around Mont Sainte-Victoire, then the Valensole plateau when the lavender is in bloom, before heading back to Aix in the evening.

Would a taxi do for Aix?

A taxi remains an option, but the experience is not the same: with Riviera Elite Driver, your chauffeur arrives on time in a suit and tie, your vehicle is a brand-new, latest-generation Mercedes-Benz, and the price, tolls included, is guaranteed as soon as you book.

PERSONAL ASSISTANCE

Your stay in Provence, prepared by Valentin

Valentin Sassi founded Riviera Elite Driver in 2016, after a career in tourism and luxury hospitality on the French Riviera. In the five-star hotels and Palaces of Cannes, he learned what great hospitality demands: attention to detail, discretion and the art of anticipation. These qualities have become his signature.

At first the only one behind the wheel, he earned the trust of hotels, partners and loyal clients, then brought together a team of professional chauffeurs who share his vision of the craft.

Since 2023, he has devoted himself entirely to his clients: he personally organizes every journey and coordinates your chauffeurs.

Day and night, seven days a week, the whole team is just a call away. Around Aix, your chauffeur knows exactly where to pull up: by the old town, outside the TGV station or at the estates themselves.

The vehicle matters. The people who look after you matter more.
