The Riviera Elite Standard

Into the heart of Tuscany

Florence is about five hours from Nice. The highway first follows the Ligurian coast as far as La Spezia, then turns inland into Tuscany, passing near Pisa and Lucca before reaching the city of the Duomo. Your journey begins wherever suits you, in Saint-Tropez, Cannes, Antibes, Nice or Monaco, or at Nice Airport, and ends at your Florence hotel, a Chianti estate or an address in Siena, with one private driver throughout. The return is arranged the same way.

  1. Fly into Nice, reach Tuscany by evening

Landing in Nice? Your flight number lets us follow the real arrival time; the road to Tuscany begins the moment your luggage is in hand. By evening, you are sitting down to dinner in Florence.

  2. Seven seats for a Tuscan stay

A family on vacation, friends gathering in Chianti: the V-Class seats the whole party, up to seven people. Couples with a lot of luggage are better off in it too, because a sedan’s trunk fits only a single large suitcase, alongside one carry-on.

  3. Breaks whenever you like

On such a long drive, your chauffeur stops whenever you wish: a coffee halfway, a moment to stretch your legs, then back on the road, never in a rush.

  4. Arriving in the old town

Florence’s historic center is a limited traffic zone: your chauffeur drives in as far as access rules allow, then brings your bags to reception. Before you leave, keep your ID with you, as there may be checks at the border.

FLORENCE AND TUSCANY THROUGH THE YEAR

Four Tuscan highlights

Fashion in Florence, a horse race in Siena, the Chianti grape harvest and museums open all year round: Tuscany is worth a visit in every season.

  1. January and June

    Pitti Uomo

Twice a year, the Fortezza da Basso hosts Pitti Uomo, one of the world’s most important menswear events. Whether you are coming to buy or to show a collection, you travel from the French Riviera straight to the entrance of the fair.

  2. July 2 and August 16

    The Palio di Siena

On the Piazza del Campo, the horses of Siena’s districts, the contrade, race each other after a grand parade. On race day, you reach Siena without worrying about parking, then head back to your hotel, in Tuscany or on the French Riviera.

  3. Fall

    The Chianti grape harvest

Between Florence and Siena, the Chianti hills, the historic home of Tuscan wine, come alive at harvest time. You move from one estate to the next for tours and tastings, with no thought of who is driving.

  4. Year-round

The Uffizi and the Ponte Vecchio

The Uffizi is one of the most important museum complexes in the world, a short walk from the Ponte Vecchio, Florence’s oldest bridge, which dates from the 14th century and is still lined with shops. Your chauffeur leaves you there at opening time and waits while you visit.

GOOD TO KNOW

Any questions about traveling to Florence?

Is Florence a long way from Nice?

The drive from Nice takes about five hours. It is slightly shorter from Monaco and longer from Cannes, longer still from Saint-Tropez. Even in heavy traffic, the quoted price stays the same.

Could we go on to Siena or into Chianti?

Yes, with a direct transfer to the hotel or estate, or for a day of sightseeing with your chauffeur. From Florence, Siena, Pisa, Lucca and the Chianti villages are all easy to reach within the day.

Do you also handle the return from Tuscany?

Yes: in Florence or anywhere else in Tuscany, your chauffeur is there on the agreed day and time, then takes the road back to the French Riviera, to any address you choose, Nice Airport included.

Can a taxi make the trip to Florence?

Yes, a taxi can make this long drive. With Riviera Elite Driver, the full amount, tolls included, is fixed before departure; your chauffeur is punctual and wears a suit and tie, while a brand-new, latest-generation Mercedes-Benz takes you to Tuscany.

PERSONAL ASSISTANCE

Valentin sets you on the road to Florence

Valentin Sassi founded Riviera Elite Driver in 2016, after a career in tourism and luxury hospitality on the French Riviera. In the five-star hotels and Palaces of Cannes, he learned what great hospitality demands: attention to detail, discretion and the art of anticipation. These qualities have become his signature.

At first the only one behind the wheel, he earned the trust of hotels, partners and loyal clients, then brought together a team of professional chauffeurs who share his vision of the craft.

Since 2023, he has devoted himself entirely to his clients: he personally organizes every journey and coordinates your chauffeurs.

Day and night, seven days a week, the whole team is just a call away. All the way to Tuscany, your chauffeur is on familiar ground: the Ligurian coast, the approaches to Florence, the Chianti estates.

The vehicle matters. The people who look after you matter more.
