The Riviera Elite Standard

Saint-Tropez to Monaco, the Riviera from end to end

Off-season, the drive from Saint-Tropez to Monaco takes about two hours and 15 minutes; in summer, allow closer to three hours. Heading out, you are picked up anywhere on the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, whether at your hotel, at your villa or down at the harbor, by a private driver who takes you into the Principality, right to the Casino, Port Hercules or the hotel where you are expected.

  1. By road, or by helicopter

Flying into the Gulf by helicopter? When you land, the vehicle is already there, and your bags are stowed at once. And when it is time for Monaco, we cover the whole drive, from any address you choose.

  2. Room for everyone in the V-Class

Over more than two hours on the road, space matters: seven passengers and their suitcases ride in comfort in the V-Class, while the S-Class lets two travelers rest. Every vehicle in the fleet is brand new.

  3. Discreet from start to finish

A drive this long leaves time to make calls, get some work done or simply rest. Your chauffeur stays discreet at all times, never comments on your plans or your guests, and repeats nothing overheard on board.

  4. The forest, the Esterel, then the Riviera

To leave the Gulf, our chauffeurs know the only road into Saint-Tropez by heart. Past Sainte-Maxime, the road climbs through the forest to Le Muy; the highway then crosses the Esterel and follows the Riviera on to Monaco.

SAINT-TROPEZ – MONACO PRIVATE CHAUFFEUR

Just the ride, or a full day in Monaco

If you only need to get there, book a transfer: a private car to the address you give, with the fare fixed before you leave. Planning a day in Monaco with a return in the evening? Reserve by the hour: in the Principality, your chauffeur stays available, then gets back on the road to the Gulf whenever you like.

  1. View between umbrella pines of the rooftops, bell tower and harbor of Saint-Tropez, with the bay and the hills beyond Book by the hour

    Monaco for the day

Leave the Gulf in the morning, lunch overlooking Port Hercules, a stroll on the Rock, a drink in Monte Carlo at cocktail hour, then back to the Gulf in the evening, with the same chauffeur throughout.

  2. The long beach of Pampelonne and its bay, in Ramatuelle, between the pines and the sea Plan your wedding

A wedding in Monaco, guests on the Gulf

The ceremony is in Monaco, but your guests are staying on the Gulf, from Ramatuelle to Sainte-Maxime? We drive them to the Principality for the celebration; their chauffeurs stay nearby and drive them home to their hotels as the festivities end, in several vehicles if needed. Valentin plans every ride with you.

  3. A charcoal-gray yacht moored in Port Hercules, below the buildings of Monte Carlo Plan your journey

A cruise from Monaco to the Gulf

Is your yacht leaving Monaco to spend a few days at anchor in the Gulf? Valentin arranges every trip ashore: guests joining the boat in Saint-Tropez, dinners in the village, a round trip to Monaco mid-cruise, then everyone’s journey home. The captain simply gives us the times and the dock.

  4. The Rock of Monaco, its ramparts, gardens and old town above the sea Book your transfer

Saint-Tropez to Monaco, fare set in advance

Type in your address on the Gulf and your destination in Monaco: the fare appears on screen, tolls included, and will not change, even in the middle of summer.

FROM THE GULF TO MONACO, SEASON AFTER SEASON

Four occasions that bring the two together

From spring tennis to the September yachts, by way of the Grand Prix, Monaco draws guests from the Gulf every season.

  1. In April

The Monte Carlo Masters, from the Gulf

The big spring tennis tournament is played at the Monte Carlo Country Club, which actually lies in France, in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin. From the Gulf, we leave you at the club, and the ride back to Saint-Tropez begins as soon as play ends.

  2. Early June

The Grand Prix, from the Gulf

Staying on the Gulf while the Grand Prix runs in the Principality? Despite the street closures, we take you as near as we can to your seat in the stands or your yacht; once the race is over, the same chauffeur returns you to the calm of the Gulf.

  3. In summer

Dinner in Monte Carlo, a night on the Gulf

At the height of the season, Monte Carlo comes alive at night. Your chauffeur waits in the Principality through dinner and the evening, then takes you home to Saint-Tropez, however late.

  4. Late September

From Les Voiles to the Yacht Show

The Monaco Yacht Show and Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez follow close on each other’s heels. Shipyards, brokers, owners and crews go from one to the next: we drive them from the Gulf to Port Hercules, at any hour.

BETWEEN SAINT-TROPEZ AND MONACO

Nice, Cannes and the Esterel, heading for Monaco

Setting off from the Gulf, Pampelonne, Ramatuelle, Port Grimaud and Sainte-Maxime are only minutes away. Farther on, the Esterel unrolls its red rocks, then the highway passes close to Cannes and Antibes, and above Nice, before Monaco. Any of these places can become a stop.

GOOD TO KNOW

Any questions about your Saint-Tropez – Monaco ride?

How long is the ride from Saint-Tropez to Monaco?

Roughly two and a quarter hours outside the summer months. In summer, plan on nearer three, as traffic piles up on the only road into Saint-Tropez; the return trip is much the same. Your fare stays exactly as booked.

What if the helicopter cannot fly?

Wind or poor visibility sometimes keep helicopters on the ground. Let us know with a call or a message: the road takes over, and we drive you to Monaco from wherever you are on the Gulf.

Can we make the round trip in a single day?

Yes: with an hourly booking, your chauffeur spends the day in Monaco with you before the evening drive home to the Gulf. Allow roughly four and a half hours of driving in all off-season, and closer to six in summer.

Why not simply take a taxi for such a distance?

Over that distance, a taxi does not always quote its price up front, and you may have to wait for one at the stand. Reserved at a set fare, a private chauffeur arrives right on time, in a suit and tie, with a brand-new, latest-generation Mercedes-Benz; if needed, the same chauffeur brings you back that evening.

PERSONAL ASSISTANCE

Valentin, from the Gulf to the Principality

Valentin Sassi founded Riviera Elite Driver in 2016, after a career in tourism and luxury hospitality on the French Riviera. In the five-star hotels and Palaces of Cannes, he learned what great hospitality demands: attention to detail, discretion and the art of anticipation. These qualities have become his signature.

At first the only one behind the wheel, he earned the trust of hotels, partners and loyal clients, then brought together a team of professional chauffeurs who share his vision of the craft.

Since 2023, he has devoted himself entirely to his clients: he personally organizes every journey and coordinates your chauffeurs.

Day and night, seven days a week, the whole team is just a call away. For this route, he assigns you a chauffeur who is as much at home on the roads of the Gulf as in the streets of Monaco, and who knows exactly where to wait for you at each arrival.

The vehicle matters. The people who look after you matter more.
