The Riviera Elite Standard

From the French Riviera to Courchevel and Méribel

Courchevel and Méribel are neighbors, linked by the slopes of the Three Valleys, a ski area they share with Les Menuires and Val Thorens. From Monaco, Nice or Cannes, the drive takes about seven hours in winter, hours you spend in the back seat while a private driver takes the wheel.

  1. From any address on the Riviera

A hotel in Monaco, an apartment in Nice, a villa in Mougins: your chauffeur arrives at the agreed time, and your journey to the Alps begins right there.

  2. Stops planned in advance

A drive this long deserves some planning. We agree on the stops with you, for lunch or simply to stretch your legs, and your chauffeur picks the right places along the way.

  3. The climb from Moûtiers

At Moûtiers, the road leaves the valley and climbs through hairpin turns to the resorts. We check snow conditions before setting off, and your vehicle, equipped for winter, is ready for those final miles.

  4. From Courchevel 1850 to Val Thorens

Courchevel 1850, Moriond, Le Praz, Méribel, Mottaret or Val Thorens: your chauffeur stops outside your hotel or chalet and carries your bags to the entrance.

  1. High snowy peaks and their glaciers above the alpine pastures Book by the hour

Lunch in Turin on the way

You set the pace: a table in Turin when the route runs through Italy, a sight worth a detour, one more stop for the children.

  2. A groomed run facing snow-capped peaks Plan your wedding

A wedding in Courchevel or Méribel

Your wedding is in the Three Valleys and your guests are flying into Nice? We arrange their drive up to the mountains, then, on the big day, every ride between the ceremony, the reception and the hotels. Valentin personally coordinates all the vehicles.

  3. A chauffeur in a suit takes the luggage of a couple arriving by private jet and leads them across the airport apron to a black Mercedes-Benz S-Class Plan your journey

You fly by helicopter, your bags go by road

Flying to Courchevel by helicopter, about an hour from Monaco? Your suitcases, skis and snowboards make the trip by road with us, right up to your address at the resort. Share your schedule with us, and we will take care of the rest.

  4. A wide snowfield below rocky peaks under a clear winter sky Book your transfer

    A fixed price, tolls included

Enter your starting point and your resort, and the price comes up immediately; neither snow nor traffic will change it. Then simply choose your vehicle.

THE THREE VALLEYS, FROM WINTER TO SUMMER

Courchevel and Méribel at a glance

A vast ski area, a pass reserved for cyclists and two resorts born eight years apart: a few pointers, so you arrive as an insider.

  1. Winter

The Three Valleys, up to Val Thorens

Known in French as Les 3 Vallées, the Three Valleys are billed as the biggest ski area on the planet: more than 600 kilometers (about 370 miles) of slopes, reaching 3,230 meters (about 10,600 feet). At the top end, Val Thorens, at 2,300 meters (about 7,550 feet), claims the title of Europe’s highest resort.

  2. Summer

The Col de la Loze, for cyclists only

At 2,275 meters (about 7,460 feet), the Col de la Loze links Méribel and Courchevel. On the Méribel side, the last seven kilometers (about four miles) of the road are open to bicycles only, and Tour de France riders have already tackled it several times.

  3. Since 1946

    Courchevel, built from scratch

Courchevel was the first French resort built on an untouched site, starting in 1946. Today it has five hotels with France’s Palace distinction, and an altiport perched at 2,008 meters (about 6,590 feet), whose runway ranks among the steepest in the world.

  4. Since 1938

    Méribel, a Scotsman’s idea

Méribel owes its existence to a Scotsman, Peter Lindsay: its first ski lift went up in 1938, and work on the first chalets began the following year. From the start, building rules required wood, local stone and slate. In 1992, the resort hosted the women’s alpine skiing and ice hockey events of the Winter Olympics.

GOOD TO KNOW

Any questions before you leave for Courchevel or Méribel?

How many hours does the drive take from the French Riviera?

Around seven hours in winter. From Monaco, the fastest route usually runs through Italy and the Fréjus Tunnel; from Nice or Cannes, it tends to go up the Rhône valley. Your chauffeur chooses on the day, based on traffic and snow.

Do you serve every resort in the Three Valleys?

Yes: Courchevel and La Tania, Méribel, Brides-les-Bains, linked to the slopes by gondola, Saint-Martin-de-Belleville, Les Menuires and Val Thorens. Just give us the name of your hotel or chalet.

Will you pick us up again at the end of our stay?

Yes. The return trip is booked just like the outbound one, for the day and time of your choice: your chauffeur comes up to the resort to collect you and drives you back to your starting point or to Nice Airport, well ahead of your flight.

Private chauffeur or taxi to Courchevel: what’s the difference?

At Nice Airport, getting a taxi usually starts with a wait in line at the stand. A private chauffeur comes to you: standing by the arrivals exit, holding a tablet that displays your name, or waiting at your hotel at the time you set. In a suit and tie, the chauffeur then takes you up to the Three Valleys in a brand-new, latest-generation Mercedes-Benz, ready for the snow.

PERSONAL ASSISTANCE

Valentin arranges your drive to the Three Valleys

Valentin Sassi founded Riviera Elite Driver in 2016, after a career in tourism and luxury hospitality on the French Riviera. In the five-star hotels and Palaces of Cannes, he learned what great hospitality demands: attention to detail, discretion and the art of anticipation. These qualities have become his signature.

At first the only one behind the wheel, he earned the trust of hotels, partners and loyal clients, then brought together a team of professional chauffeurs who share his vision of the craft.

Since 2023, he has devoted himself entirely to his clients: he personally organizes every journey and coordinates your chauffeurs.

Day and night, seven days a week, the whole team is just a call away. Before you set off, he plans the route and the stops with you, checks the road conditions and recommends the departure time that gets you there before nightfall.

The vehicle matters. The people who look after you matter more.
