Seven passengers with boots, ski suits and suitcases: whether you are a family or a gang of friends, no vehicle in our fleet holds more than the V-Class. A couple with no ski gear will find the S-Class plenty, especially in summer.

The mountain road, checked before you leave
Our vehicles are fitted for winter, as mountain law requires, and the state of the road to Auron is checked before every departure. If snow means shifting the schedule, we call you to set a new departure time together.

Right to your chalet, up on the plateau
Apartment, chalet or hotel: you are dropped at your door, up on the plateau. For the trip back down, your departure time is worked out from your flight, with extra leeway in winter, and you arrive in Nice unhurried.
NICE AIRPORT TO AURON TRANSFER
A transfer to Auron, or a whole day with your chauffeur
A one-way transfer by private car takes you to your lodging at a price set in advance, starting from the airport or anywhere on the coast. Should your chauffeur stay up there with you, choose hourly service, evening ride home included.

Few places let you ski in the morning and spend the evening by the Mediterranean. Leaving your hotel on the coast early, you head up to Auron; your chauffeur stays nearby all day, then brings you down to the coast before dinner.

A sedan’s trunk, in the E-Class as in the S-Class, has room for a single large suitcase with a carry-on: fine for a summer trip or a stay without ski gear. The moment there are skis, snowboards or boots to stow, the V-Class takes over: a seven-seat van, and the room that goes with it. Traveling with more people? We can arrange additional vehicles.

Warm on the way up, cool in summer
After your last run down from Las Donnas, a heated cabin is waiting, with bottles of cold water stocked in the onboard refrigerator. Heading back to the coast, you can send your photos from the slopes over the Wi-Fi as your phones recharge.
Skis, poles, boots and suitcases: your chauffeur loads all of your gear. A bottle of champagne? Add it to your booking; it is billed as an extra. Child seats are ready on request.

AURON, WINTER AND SUMMER

One of the historic resorts of the Alpes-Maritimes, Auron lives on its slopes in winter, and on bikes and trails in summer. A few things worth knowing, up top and along the way.

135 kilometers (84 miles) of slopes
Between 1,250 and 2,450 meters (about 4,100 and 8,040 feet), Auron’s slopes, the most extensive in the Alpes-Maritimes, suit every level. We drop you off on the first day and are back for you on the last, at the agreed time.

Summer
Bike park, golf and the Bonette pass
Once the snow melts, Auron welcomes mountain bikers, hikers and golfers, at the edge of Mercantour National Park. Nearby, the road over the Col de la Bonette, one of the highest mountain passes in Europe, opens in the warmer months: cross it with your chauffeur for a day out.

The last road, from Saint-Étienne-de-Tinée
Auron belongs to Saint-Étienne-de-Tinée, the village the road passes through before the final climb. Completed in 1934, a single road still links the village to the plateau: in winter, it is the stretch we drive with the greatest care.

The Las Donnas aerial tramway
In 1937, Auron opened the first aerial tramway in the Alpes-Maritimes, the third in France. Its successors still climb toward Las Donnas, at nearly 2,500 meters (about 8,200 feet): your chauffeur pulls up right by the base station, skis, snowboards and boots included.

From the sea to Auron, up the Tinée valley
On the way up from the airport, the route runs along the Var, then climbs the Tinée from one village to the next: Saint-Sauveur-sur-Tinée, Isola, then Saint-Étienne-de-Tinée. Isola 2000, the valley’s other big resort, is just off the route: we drive to both, from Nice or from the Riviera’s resorts.

Any questions about the road to Auron?
How much time should we allow for the drive to Auron?
Count on roughly an hour and 45 minutes from the airport. In winter, when snow falls on the valley, we plan an earlier departure and keep you posted along the way.
Auron or Isola 2000: what difference does it make to the drive?
Both resorts are reached through the same valley, the Tinée, and take a similar time to drive from Nice. Auron sits higher up the valley, above Saint-Étienne-de-Tinée, while Isola 2000 is reached from Isola village. We drive you to either one, and even between them during your stay.
Can we go up to Auron in summer?
Yes, all year round: in summer, the resort is made for mountain biking, hiking and golf. We drive you there for the day or for a stay, with as much care as in winter.
To get up to Auron: taxi or private chauffeur?
Outside the terminal, you wait your turn for a taxi, with no way of knowing whether its trunk will take your gear. Reserve a private chauffeur ahead of your flight instead: they already know what you are bringing, and greet you in suit and tie, a tablet with your name in hand, beside a brand-new Mercedes-Benz of the latest generation big enough to load it all.
