The Riviera Elite Standard

From Nice Airport, straight up to the snow at Isola 2000

From Nice Airport, Isola 2000 is only about an hour and 45 minutes away. The road follows the Var River, climbs the Tinée valley, then winds its way up from Isola village to the resort, 2,000 meters (about 6,600 feet) above sea level. When your flight lands, your private driver loads your skis, snowboards and suitcases, then takes you up the mountain in a Mercedes-Benz equipped for the season.

  1. Met in Nice, whatever the hour

Scheduled flight or private jet, early morning or late evening, we follow your landing time until the wheels touch down. With your luggage and your skis or snowboards in hand, you find your chauffeur at the exit, your name showing on a tablet, and the drive to the mountains can begin.

  2. The V-Class, made for ski trips

Skis, snowboards, boots and suitcases quickly take up more room than the travelers themselves. For the mountains, we favor the V-Class, which carries a party of up to seven. When you book, tell us how many skis, snowboards and bags are coming along: we check the space before departure and, if needed, suggest a second vehicle.

  3. In winter, vehicles equipped for the mountains

From November 1 to March 31, French law requires winter equipment on the mountain roads leading to Isola 2000, and our vehicles are equipped accordingly. Before every departure, we also check road conditions. If snow means changing the schedule, we agree on it with you: in the mountains, the weather always has the final say.

  4. To your door, then back to your flight

At the resort, you step out in front of your apartment, chalet or hotel; we only need its name at booking. For the return, we work backward from your flight to set the pickup time, with extra margin in winter, so you reach Nice Airport without any rush.

YOUR NICE – ISOLA 2000 TRANSFER

Nice Airport to Isola 2000 transfers, winter and summer

A transfer brings you from the airport, or from your address on the coast, right to the resort in a private car, at the price set when you book. Book by the hour instead, and your chauffeur remains with you through a day in the mountains, from first stop to last.

  1. A groomed run facing snow-capped peaks Book by the hour

A day of skiing with your chauffeur

Staying on the coast, but tempted by a day in the snow? We drive you up to Isola 2000 in the morning, your chauffeur waits while you are on the slopes, and you are back on the coast by evening. In summer, the same day works just as well for a hike in the Mercantour.

  2. Rocky peaks and green alpine pastures around Isola 2000 in summer Plan your wedding

    A wedding in the mountains

Getting married at Isola 2000, with snow for a backdrop? Each guest is met on landing, driven up to the resort, then taken back down to the airport on their departure day. One contact handles every one of their trips.

  3. High snowy peaks and their glaciers above the alpine pastures Plan your journey

Leaving from the coast, not the airport

Already on the Riviera? We collect you in Cannes, Antibes, Monaco or anywhere else along the coast, at your hotel or your villa, and drive you straight to the resort, gear and all.

  4. A chauffeur in a suit takes the luggage of a couple arriving by private jet and leads them across the airport apron to a black Mercedes-Benz S-Class Book your transfer

Your transfer from Nice, at a fixed price

Type the address of your accommodation into the booking form, and your fare appears instantly; traffic will not change it. Prefer to call? We also take bookings by phone and on WhatsApp.

THE TINÉE AND THE MERCANTOUR

Isola 2000, from the Tinée valley to the Col de la Lombarde

Isola 2000 lives by two seasons: snow sports in winter, hiking in summer. Here is what awaits you, on the road up and around the resort.

  1. December to April

Skiing and snowboarding at 2,000 meters

A family-friendly resort close to the Italian border, Isola 2000 opens its slopes from December to April. For a ski week or just a weekend, send us the dates of your stay: the trip up and the trip back are arranged together, in a single request.

  2. Summer

The lakes and trails of the Mercantour

Once the snow has melted, the resort becomes the starting point for hikes to the alpine lakes of the Mercantour. At the trailhead, your chauffeur sees you off and comes back at the agreed time, or waits for you until evening.

  3. Warmer months

    Italy, just over the pass

Beyond the resort, the road climbs to the Col de la Lombarde, at 2,351 meters (7,713 feet), then drops down into Italy’s Piedmont. It is a road for the warmer months, since snow can close it in winter: a chance to stretch a mountain day all the way into Italy, with the same chauffeur.

  4. Year-round

Isola village, where the climb begins

At 870 meters (about 2,850 feet), the old village of Isola marks the start of the final climb: more than 1,100 meters (3,600 feet) of elevation, hairpin after hairpin, up to the resort. This is where winter makes itself felt the most, and where your chauffeur takes all the time needed.

GOOD TO KNOW

Any questions about your transfer to Isola 2000?

How long does the drive up to Isola 2000 take?

Count on about an hour and 45 minutes from Nice Airport, for just under 90 km (about 55 miles), up the Var valley and then the Tinée. When it snows, the climb takes longer: we factor that into the departure time, in both directions.

What if snow slows down or closes the road?

We check road conditions before every winter departure. If the climb looks slower, or the road is closed, we agree on a new time together and keep you posted by phone or WhatsApp until you arrive.

Can you drive a group or several families?

Yes. Beyond seven passengers, or with a lot of gear, we plan as many vehicles as it takes. A single person coordinates all your chauffeurs, so you have one contact for everyone, even when arrivals are spread across the day.

Taxi or private chauffeur for Isola 2000: which is better?

At the airport, you wait your turn in the taxi line, then take whichever vehicle comes next. A private chauffeur is reserved ahead of your flight. On the day, your chauffeur waits at the exit in a suit and tie, holding up a tablet with your name. You then ride in a brand-new Mercedes-Benz of the latest generation, chosen for your ski and snowboard gear and your luggage.

PERSONAL ASSISTANCE

Valentin, from the coast to the slopes

Valentin Sassi founded Riviera Elite Driver in 2016, after a career in tourism and luxury hospitality on the French Riviera. In the five-star hotels and Palaces of Cannes, he learned what great hospitality demands: attention to detail, discretion and the art of anticipation. These qualities have become his signature.

At first the only one behind the wheel, he earned the trust of hotels, partners and loyal clients, then brought together a team of professional chauffeurs who share his vision of the craft.

Since 2023, he has devoted himself entirely to his clients: he personally organizes every journey and coordinates your chauffeurs.

Day and night, seven days a week, the whole team is just a call away. For Isola 2000, he chooses the vehicle to suit your gear, watches the roads of the Tinée and times your return to match your flight.

The vehicle matters. The people who look after you matter more.
