Through the hairpin bends of the gorges, the cabin stays nicely heated; cold water is ready for everyone in the onboard refrigerator. Over the Wi-Fi, you can tell the rental agency when you will arrive, while phones and the kids’ tablets recharge.
Your chauffeur stows the ski gear and suitcases in the trunk. For the little ones, let us know how old they are, and the right seat, whether an infant seat, a child seat or a booster, is fitted before you arrive. And if you would like champagne on board, it is available at an extra charge.

Coming out of the gorges, the road runs through Beuil, the birthplace of the region’s ski history. Its ski area, Les Launes, is linked to Valberg’s by the slopes: 90 kilometers (56 miles) in all, from the gentlest runs to the steepest.

Golf, mountain biking and the Route des Grandes Alpes
In summer, there is a nine-hole golf course, mountain bike trails to race down and hikes toward Mont Mounier. Valberg is also a stop on the Route des Grandes Alpes, between the Col de la Cayolle and the Col de la Couillole: a wonderful day out, with your chauffeur at the wheel.

The red gorges of the Cians
After Touët-sur-Var, the road leaves the Var to climb the Gorges du Cians, carved through limestone and, higher up, through rock of a deep red. Over 25 kilometers (about 16 miles), the river drops 1,600 meters (about 5,250 feet): a spectacular stretch, which your chauffeur drives without hurrying.

How long will the drive to Valberg take?
Expect about an hour and 45 minutes, depending on the route and the season. On snowy days, we move the departure time earlier, and along the way your chauffeur tells you how the climb is going.
Which road do you take up to Valberg?
From the Var valley, three roads lead there: the Gorges du Cians through Beuil, the Gorges de Daluis through Guillaumes, or the Tinée valley and the Col de la Couillole. On the day, we take whichever is open and safest; your price stays the same.
Is Valberg a good choice for families?
Yes: the resort holds the Famille Plus label, awarded in France to family-friendly destinations, and its slopes suit every level, from beginners to experienced skiers. On our side, the children’s seats are ready when you arrive, and the V-Class takes a party of seven along with their luggage.
To Valberg, what is the difference between a taxi and a private chauffeur?
